Thrifty Car Rental did NOT have a car available even though I had a reservation - Mid-Size Car Rental

Recently I reserved a rental car from Thrifty Car Rental at the Tampa International Airport. It was a horrible experience. I landed and was expecting to have a rental car ready for me since I had a reservation but that was not the case. Thrifty had over booked their rental cars and had no cars available. I was told it would be an hour wait, but their was 10 - 15 people in front of me also waiting for a car from thrifty. I questioned the lady at the desk if she guaranteed me a car in an hour and she said no. I was not willing the spend my first 1-4 hours on vacation waiting for a car that I had reserved weeks in advance. Needless to say I had a family member come pick me up at the airport! The next day I called Thrifty to see if they had cars available at anther location or back at the airport and she was rude saying since I didn't pick up my car the previous day they could not honor my reservation! I proceeded to tell her if you had a car available I would have picked it up! Thrifty has HORRIBLE customer service and if you have a reservation that doesn't mean they will have a car for you! Save your sanity and go with a different company!
